Group Meeting 3/7!

Today we had a group meeting in class! There was 5 people in the meeting including me, and we all learned about each others project and gave each other some feedback! I really enjoyed this meeting just because it felt nice to talk to people that are willing to help you with feedback during this creative process. I also just loved listening to everyones projects and what they are brainstorming/planning to create!

My group was suer supportive when I told them my idea! They loved the whole comedy coming of age of it all. I expressed that we were still looking for the mai plot of our short film and Isabel said that to create your plot its always easier to start with knowing what message you want to portray through your story. It's something that Ive heard before but in that moment it really stood out to me and is helping me currently! I also expressed my concern for not having anyone to be in our cast but they quickly suggested asking the kids in our schools theatre department because they are happy to act in projects like these, which i loved the idea of. My group was amazing because they gave me new ideas that i could use for the main story of my short film like emphasizing that the two main characters have known each other for a long period of time by showing childhood photos. Nathaniel gave me a few movies that could inspire our mood/styling for the film like Clueless(1995) and Ghost World (2001). I've seen Ghost World before but I didn't think of it as inspiration before but I'm glad he mentioned it because that movies costuming and vibe is definitely something our film will take inspiration from. He also told me that he made mood boards for his characters and I will definitely be doing that for our characters!

I feel like all of the 4 members in my group were super helpful to me and to each other because we all had very different types of projects so we could all give different types of advice regarding these different types of genres and themes!

Some notes I took during the meeting:
